Your privacy is important to us. It is Maharaja Gems' policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, and other sites we own and operate.

We only ask for personal information when we need it to provide a service to you, and we collect it with your knowledge and consent. Depending on how you use the site, this may include: your name, email address and phone number; your account details (including an optional title and date of birth); shipping and billing addresses when you place an order; your order history and wishlist; appointment requests and the contact details you provide with them; and your newsletter subscription preference.

Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number is entered directly with Stripe and never touches or is stored on our servers — we receive only a payment confirmation and reference.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to process and deliver your orders, manage your account, respond to enquiries and appointment requests, protect against fraud, and — only if you have subscribed — send you our newsletter, from which you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the business: Stripe (payment processing), our shipping carriers and insurers (delivery of your order), Cloudflare (site security and bot protection), and our email delivery provider — and where required by law.

Cookies

We use a small number of functional cookies: a session identifier that keeps your shopping cart working, your currency preference, and a record of your cookie-consent choice. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. Data Security

We are committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

4. Your Rights

You may access and update your details at any time from your account page, and you may ask us to provide, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We retain order records for as long as required for accounting, warranty, and legal purposes; other information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described here.

You can act on two of these rights yourself, without contacting us, under Privacy in your account: Download my data gives you a machine-readable copy of everything we hold about you, and Delete my account erases your name, contact details, date of birth, wishlist and appointment requests immediately. Completed purchases are kept afterwards as anonymous sales records, stripped of anything that identifies you, because accounting and tax law requires us to retain them.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
